About the Destination
The International Calella Folk Festival takes place in the charming seaside town of Calella, located just 58 km northeast of Barcelona along the Costa del Maresme. Renowned for its Blue Flag beaches stretching over three kilometers, Calella offers the perfect combination of coastal relaxation, vibrant streets, and cultural charm. Participants will enjoy the town’s friendly atmosphere, scenic promenades, and easy access to Barcelona’s world-famous landmarks.
About the Festival
The International Calella Folk Festival is a non-competitive celebration of traditional dance, music, and culture, welcoming ensembles from around the world. Participants may include folklore dance groups, modern dance troupes, choirs, and orchestras.
Each group must have a minimum of 10 performers on stage. There are no age limits, making the festival open to children, youth, and adult ensembles alike.
Every group will perform 2–3 concerts, either with live music or recorded tracks. Performance duration will depend on the number of participants.
Accommodation & Meals
Participants will be housed in comfortable 3-star hotels in the Costa Brava area, conveniently close to the beach and performance venues.

Transfers & Transportation
Transfers from the airport can be arranged by the organizers, with costs depending on group size. Groups arriving by bus must cover parking fees. The bus may be used throughout the festival for local travel. Any incidents or breakdowns are the responsibility of the group’s insurance.

The final participant list must be submitted 30 days prior to the festival start. Deposits become non-refundable after this date.

Festival Program
Arrival in the Hotel and registration (please call us 1h before your arrival, 100km ahead of Calella) the rooms will be ready for check in at about 15:00
Lunchtime (according to the hotel schedule, each group will receive from the hotel reception time table. * If the groups is not arriving on lunch, or its late please let us know in advance, otherwise we will not be able to move lunch to dinner)
Dinner time (according to hotel schedule, each group will receive from hotel reception time table. *If the groups arrive late, let us know in advance so the hotel can prepare cold dinner.)

Meeting with FFA representative and short description of the festival program (2 leaders per group max) (on Light house!)

Refund Policy
As confirmation of its participation in this folklore festival, a group pays a deposit as a guarantee.
This deposit is non-reimbursable if you later decide not to come, for any reason. In case of unexpected circumstances or Force Majeure, the organizer reserves the right to change the event date or postpone it for the next year.
When paying by bank transfer, some tax fees may occur and we are not covering those expenses, they are paid by the group.
