Cultural and artistic society – KUD “FALANGA” – 2019 village of Leskoec Ohrid. Today it has more than 100 members, divided into 2 groups. Through its activities, this folklore group helps to preserve the Macedonian cultural heritage. Its members cherish the traditional folk games and folk songs, as well as the revival of old customs and beautiful costumes that fall mainly under the Ohrid-Struj region, as well as costumes from other parts of the country.


The specific rhythm, the lively temperament, as well as the beauty and splendor of the native and stylized folklore enriched with the lively color of folk costumes and virtuoso playing, are characteristics that make these folk dances and folk songs unique.

With all that, the real life of people in the past is presented, but only in a playful and cheerful way. From its formation until today, the repertoire of the Cultural Art Society KUD “FALANGA” village of Leskoec Ohrid has been constantly improving, and at the same time it has been increased with new choreographies from other parts of the country, such as:
1.Maleshevka is a mixed Macedonian dance. Choreographically, it originates from the village of Budinarci – Malesheviata.
2. Kopacija games from the Kicevo area.
3. Bufchansko is a female Macedonian dance, which choreographically originates from Bitola.
4. Tresenita Macedonian dance from Mariovo.
5. Crnogorka mixed Macedonian dance, which choreographically originates from Skopje.
6. Zensko chamche is a female Macedonian dance, which choreographically originates from Veleshko.
7. Prespa games that originate from the Prespa region.
8. A wedding is a traditional dance with traditional customs.

These include the basic dances in the Republic of Macedonia such as: Pajdushko, Macedonian Girl, Gyganchitsa, Eleno mome…


In the cultural art society KUD FALANGA, the members are from 6-28 years old. By joining and being part of the company, these young members motivate each other, which means they build positivity among themselves and strive to move forward.
Cultural and artistic society KUD “FALANGA” successfully performs at many international and domestic festivals, and thus receives great support from the audience itself.
