PLAI NTORSUREAN CHOIR Romania

The Plai Întorsurean Choir begins its activity at the beginning of 1995 as a vocal group. Later, the number of members increased and the small vocal group turns into what it is today, a mixed choir.

The choir is made up of amateur choristers, with the most diverse activities: pupils, students, entrepreneurs, workers, teachers, medical assistants, civil servants, and pensioners.

The repertoire of the Plai Întorsurean choir includes folk works, religious music, and carols, these being performed by one or more voices. In its 27 years of activity, the Plai

Întorsurean choir has participated in all local events, it has been present on the stages of major festivals in the country: Brașov, Bucharest, Sfântu Gheorghe, Topoloveni, Curtea de Argeș, Cluj-Napoca, Vaslui, Focșani, Cernavodă.

Outside the country’s borders, the Plai Întorsurean choir participates in festivals in Veszprem-Hungary, Biesti-R.Moldova, Harmanli-Bulgaria, Orestiasand Paralia-Greece, Ohrid-Macedonia, Montecatini Terme-Italy.
