Welcome to the International Varna Folk Festival!

Varna is Bulgaria’s Sea Capital is celebrated for its pristine beaches, lively cultural scene, and rich history. Varna is a city that seamlessly blends ancient history with modern charm, offering visitors a fascinating array of historical buildings, museums, art galleries, and cultural attractions.

The International Varna Folk Festival is a vibrant celebration of traditional and modern dance, music, and art, welcoming groups of all ages to showcase their talents. This non-competitive festival invites folklore dance groups, modern dance groups, instrumentalists, choirs, and performers from a variety of art forms, with a minimum of 10 participants on stage. There is no age limit for participants, making this festival the perfect opportunity for performers of all ages to come together and share their passion for the arts.

Each group will perform two concerts and participate in a defile, giving them ample opportunity to connect with both the local and international audience.

Accommodation Details

• Participants will stay in 3* or 4* hotels in Varna, with Full Board accommodation, which includes three buffet meals per day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). The hotels are located close to the festival venues, providing easy access for both performances and leisure time.
• Accommodation will be provided in rooms with 3 or 4 beds, each with its own private bathroom.
• The organizer will provide two double rooms per group at no additional charge above the participation fee (leaders and drivers). Any additional double rooms (three or more) will incur fees as written in the festival conditions.

For additional room requests, the charges are as follows:

• Double Room: €12 per person/day
• Single Room: €30 per person/day
• Extra Night: €40 per person/day in a 3 hotel* / €45 per person/day in a 4 hotel*

Additionally, for every 25 participants, the 26th participant stays free.

The participation fee is:

4 nights – starting from 195€ per person

5 nights – starting from 230€ per person

It includes:

• Accommodation in 3*/4* Hotel
• Full Board Basis with 3 meals per day – breakfast, lunch, and dinner
• Participation in 2 Concerts and a Defile
• Invitation Letter
• Grattiduted Certificate
• All expenses of the festival organization

Does NOT include:

• • Travel Insurance
  • Transfers
  • Parking for the bus
  • City Tax

Additional Festival Information

Transfers:
The festival organizers will arrange airport transfers for groups arriving by plane, including transport to and from the airport and during the festival. The cost of this service will be agreed upon separately and depends on the number of participants.

Bus Parking:
Groups arriving by bus can use their own transport during the festival and for small journeys around the city. The cost of bus parking is the responsibility of the group and is determined by the parking facility.

Payment Details

• A 30% deposit is required with the initial application to confirm participation.
• 40% of the total fee is due 60 days before the festival.
• The remaining 30% balance must be paid 10 days before the festival starts.

The final participant list must be submitted 30 days before the festival start date. Deposits are non-refundable after this date.
